SIDNEY — The Shelby County Veteran Service Commission is planning its Memorial Day program.

They are asking the community to submit names of any Shelby County veterans who has passed to Shelby County Veteran Services by calling 937-498-7284 or emailing Chris North at [email protected]. These names will be announced at the Memorial Day ceremony at the Shelby County Court House.

They are also seeking nominations for the Veteran of The Year and Civilian of The Year. Stop by and submit an application for a Veteran of The Year that has been involved in helping veterans, advocating for veterans or anything to do with honoring veterans. Also, please submit application for Civilian of The Year who has gone out of their way to support veterans. These applications can be picked up at 133 S. Ohio Ave, Sidney, or on the website, www.shelbycountyveterans.org or email North at [email protected].
