-12:35 p.m.: theft. Deputies responded to a theft in the 19000 block of Pence Road.

-8:51 a.m.: theft. Deputies responded to a theft in the 5000 block of Smith Road in Houston.

-4:02 a.m.: suspicious vehicle. Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle in the area of Lindsey Road and Hathaway Road.

TUESDAY

-5:09 p.m.: property damage. Personnel responded to property damage in the area of Spruce Avenue and Cherry Street.

-1:56 p.m.: theft. Deputies responded to a theft in the 9000 block of Pasco Montra Road.

-8:26 a.m.: property damage. Personnel responded to property damage in the 9000 block of state Route 29.

MONDAY

-11:14 p.m.: suspicious vehicle. Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle in the 5000 block of Wierwille Road.

-8:33 p.m.: crash. Deputies, Port Jefferson Fire and Perry Port Salem EMS responded to a crash with injuries in the 200 block of West Main Street in Port Jefferson.

-6:11 p.m.: suspicious person. Personnel responded to a suspicious person in the 500 block of South Wilkinson Avenue.

-8:52 p.m.: threats. Botkins Police responded to threats in the 400 block of East South Street.

-5:28 p.m.: crash. Anna EMS and Botkins Fire responded to a crash with injuries at mile marker 102 on Interstate 75.

TUESDAY

-8:55 p.m.: suspicious vehicle. Jackson Center Police responded to a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of West Pike Street.

-9:31 a.m.: crash. Lockington Fire and Sidney EMS responded to a crash with injuries in the 8000 block of Houston Road.

MONDAY

-4:21 p.m.: property damage. Anna Police responded to property damage in the 200 block of North Pike Street.

Crashes

No one was cited after the State Highway Patrol responded to a one-vehicle crash on June 6 at 9:34 a.m.

Sophia A. Waesch, 16, of Sidney, was traveling westbound on Houston Road when she swerved to avoid an animal in the roadway, causing her to travel off the right side of the roadway, strike a ditch and roll over.

The vehicle was towed by Meyer’s Towing and Waesch was taken by Spirit EMS to Wilson Health with suspected minor injuries.

• Shyam Alpeshkumar Patel, 25, of Troy, was cited with traveling left of center after deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on June 5 at 5:35 a.m.

Patel was traveling eastbound on state Route 47 when he crossed the center line for an unknown reason and struck Jeffrey Layne Heath, 24, of Quincy, head-on.

Patel was taken by Perry Port Salem EMS to Wilson Health with suspected minor injuries and the vehicle was towed by Elmer’s Towing. Heath’s vehicle was towed by Mantor’s Towing.

• Brandon Michael Baker, 25, of Anna, was cited with failure to control after deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash on June 4 at 12 a.m.

Baker was traveling southbound on Kuther Road when he fell asleep, causing him to travel off the right side of the roadway and strike a utility pole.

• No one was cited after deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash on June 1 at 10:38 p.m.

Troy William Sturwold, 23, of Fort Loramie, was driving a motorcycle traveling westbound on state Route 705 when he went left of center, struck a guardrail and was ejected.

Sturwold was taken by Care Flight to Miami Valley Hospital with suspected serious injuries.

• Sheri Lynn Gary, 61, of Lima, was cited with failure to yield from a stop sign after deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash on June 1 at 5:27 p.m.

Gary and Dietrich Joel Rinehart, 24, of Kettlersville, were stopped at the stop sign on McCartyville Road at the intersection of state Route 29. Rinehart arrived at the intersection before Gary but Gary entered the intersection in front of Rinehart because she thought his vehicle was parked because of the way it was angled, causing a collision.

Gary’s vehicle was towed by Mantor’s Towing and Rinehart’s vehicle was towed by Mayse’s Towing. Gary was taken to the Joint Township Hospital in St. Marys by New Bremen EMS with suspected minor injuries.

• Derek W. Jones, 36, of Sidney, was cited with failure to control after deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash on May 30 at 2:43 a.m.

Jones was traveling westbound on Mason Road when he traveled off the right side of the roadway while navigating the curve at the intersection of Thompson Schiff Road. Then he overcorrected, causing him to travel off the left side of the roadway, strike a utility pole and overturn several times.

Jones was taken by Anna EMS to Wilson Health with suspected serious injuries and the vehicle was towed by Mayse’s Towing.

• Jason Dwight Sparks, 49, of Galion, was cited with failure to control after deputies responded to a one-vehicle crash on May 29 at 1:20 a.m.

Sparks was traveling westbound on state Route 47 when he fell asleep, causing him to travel off the roadway, down a ditch and into a tree and a pile of shingles. The vehicle was towed by Mantor’s Towing.
