FORT LORAMIE — The Fort Loramie American Legion Auxiliary Post 355 agreed to donate to multiple causes at a meeting on Aug. 14.

The donations included the following:

• Ashton Culcut, who is working toward his Eagle Scout, asked for a donation toward his project of installing air conditioning at the clubhouse located on Louie Street in Fort Loramie and is used by Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and 4-H members;

• Veteran Chastity Lallemand-Smith, who has a nephew in Poland, asked for a donation of care packages to her nephew’s unit of 22 men;

• The Sidney-Shelby County Veterans Center asked for donations to the pantry;

• The group donated funds to Fort Loramie Elementary School’s supply closet to be used for students who don’t have all the supplies they need for class.

The group also discussed the Quarter Auction, which will be held on Nov. 14, and Bar Bingo, which will be held on Nov. 3. A motion was passed to have the Legion flags dry-cleaned. The group also did the second reading of the by-laws.
