Crashes

Gary A. Coverstone, 50, of Sidney, was cited with operation at stop and yield signs after a two-vehicle crash on Jan. 15 at 4:08 p.m.

Coverstone was traveling westbound on Gleason Road approaching the stop sign at the intersection of North Stolle Avenue. Lori A. Blackford, 61, of Sidney, was traveling southbound on North Stolle Avenue approaching the intersection. Coverstone failed to yield to Blackford, causing Blackford to strike Coverstone in the intersection. Blackford’s vehicle was towed by Mantor’s Towing.

• Buffy Joan Carey, 45, of Sidney, was cited with failure to control/weaving after a two-vehicle crash on Jan. 15 at 9:56 a.m.

Carey was traveling on Park Street when she struck a vehicle owned by Thomas D. Merricle, of Sidney. She then left the scene.

• Keiren K. Thorpe, 18, of Sidney, was cited with failure to control/weaving after a two-vehicle crash on Jan. 12 at 6:47 p.m.

Thorpe was traveling westbound on state Route 47 in the right lane and Yerenia Redmon, 44, of Sidney, was traveling in the same direction in the left lane. Thorpe weaved into the left lane and struck Redmon.

• Madsen A. Palmer, 23, of Manlius, New York, was cited with assured clear distance after a two-vehicle crash on Jan. 11 at 7:06 a.m.

Palmer was behind Janice A. Ehresmann, 62, of Quincy, while traveling westbound on state Route 47 when Palmer rear-ended Ehresmann. Ehresmann had suspected minor injuries but was not evaluated by an EMS agency or taken to a medical facility.

-4:38 p.m.: crime in progress. Kylee Nashell Yates, 32, of Sidney, was arrested for domestic violence.

-11:05 a.m.: warrant. Michael Louis Tommy Dawson, 40, of Centerville, was arrested on a warrant.
