Crashes

Michele Parr, 53, of Sidney, was cited with starting and backing vehicles after a two-vehicle crash on March 16 at 4 p.m.

Parr was parked on North West Avenue when she backed into a vehicle owned by Robert Douglas Skelly, of Sidney, who was parked behind her.

• Stephen Gregory Sargent, 46, of Miamisburg, was cited with driving within lanes/continuous lines of traffic after a two-vehicle crash on March 16 at 4 p.m.

Sargent was traveling northbound on North Main Avenue in the right lane and Thomas Jacque Frantz, 64, of Sidney, was traveling in the same direction in the left lane. Sargent attempted to turn left onto Washington Street and struck Frantz. The vehicle Sargent was driving was towed by Elmer’s Towing and the vehicle Frantz was driving was towed by Wrecker’s Towing.

• Bryan David Snyder, 50, of Piqua, was cited with assured clear distance after a two-vehicle crash on March 15 at 7:39 p.m.

Snyder was traveling westbound on state Route 47 when he rear-ended Gene L. Schloss, 59, of Sidney, who was stopped at a red light. Snyder’s vehicle was towed by Wrecker’s Towing and the vehicle Schloss was driving was towed by Mantor’s Towing. Schloss’s two passengers were taken by Sidney EMS to Wilson Health with minor injuries.

• Petru Spanu, 47, of Middle Village, New York, was cited with right of way when turning left after a two-vehicle crash on March 13 at 3:21 p.m.

Spanu was traveling eastbound on state Route 47 near Fourth Avenue in the left turn lane. Taige Taylor Sullenbarger, 27, of Piqua, was traveling westbound on state Route 47. Spanu failed to yield to oncoming traffic while turning left onto Fourth Avenue, causing him to collide with Sullenbarger. The vehicle Spanu was driving was towed by Mantor’s Towing and Sullenbarger’s vehicle, a motorcycle, was towed by Wrecker’s Towing.

• Bonnie L. McNeeley, 71, of Sidney, was cited with assured clear distance after a two-vehicle crash on March 11 at 12:51 p.m.

McNeeley was behind Rhonda K. Caudill, 73, of Sidney, traveling northbound on Wapakoneta Avenue. Caudill started to turn right into a private driveway and was rear-ended by McNeeley. McNeeley’s vehicle was towed by Wrecker’s Towing

-8 p.m.: summons. Rosemarie Sue Hensley, 44, of Sidney, received a summons to appear in court for theft.
