Sidney senior Olivia Barga, left, and Kimora Johnson pose after signing letters of intent to play womens soccer collegiately for Thomas More and University of Northwestern Ohio, respectively, during a ceremony in the school’s library on Friday afternoon. Both were four-year varsity players for the Yellow Jackets. Johnson, a defender, was a first team all-Miami Valley League selection in the fall. Barga, a midfielder, was a second team selection.

He worked as a reporter and later as an editor for a weekly newspaper in Springfield from 2007 to 2012, managed a Springfield-based website called TopBillingSports.com from 2012 to 2016 and then worked as a freelancer for Cox Media Group Ohio newspapers (including the Dayton Daily News) from 2016 to 2017 before joining the SDN.
