WEDNESDAY

-1:58 a.m.: driving under the influence. Police arrested John Lawrence, 31, 111 N. Wilkinson Ave., at Railroad Street and Wilkinson Avenue on a charge of driving under the influence.

TUESDAY

-7:14 p.m.: theft. Christy Thornburg, 1205 Abbott Circle, reported her cell phone, valued at $50, was stolen from 1465 E. Court St.

-4:34 p.m.: theft. Richard Solomon, of Piqua, reported a lawn mower, valued at $300, was stolen from 638 N. Ohio Ave.

-1:20 p.m.: theft. Constance Spradley, 882 Countryside St., Apt. F, reported someone stole her purse, a cell phone, and other items, valued at $97.

-8:27 a.m.: theft. Heather Watercutter, 734 S. Main Ave., reported they attempted to rent a house on Craig’s List, and after sending $500 to someone in Nigeria, they are no longer able to contact the person.

MONDAY

-2:23 p.m.: theft. Victoria Righter, 406 Riverside Drive, reported the theft of a cell phone, valued at $100.

Accident

Shelly Ann Stevenson, 17, of Urbana, was cited with a traffic control device violation after an accident Tuesday at 7:21 a.m.

Stevenson was eastbound on Court Street and failed to stop for a red traffic light at the Ohio Avenue intersection. Her auto collided with a vehicle driven southbound on Ohio by Marci Johnson, 39, 446 E. Lyndhurst St. The Sidney Department of Fire & Emergency Services took Johnson to Wilson Memorial Hospital. She had possible injuries.
