HOUSTON — The Hardin-Houston Board of Education held a special meeting Wednesday to hire staff.

The board employed:

• Misty Gibson as Varsity Girls Volleyball coach for the 2016-2017 school year, contingent upon successful background check and proper certification at a rate of $4,143.

• Brad Francis as Varsity Boys Basketball coach for the 2016-2017 school year, contingent upon successful background check and proper certification at a rate of $7,170.58.

The board also approved a two-year contract for Matt Stephens, Technology Director, effective Aug. 1, 2016, through July 31, 2018.

The next regular board meeting is scheduled for Monday, May 16, 2016, in the Media Center.
