PIQUA — The Edison Foundation’s Academy for Community Leadership in partnership with the Paul G. Duke Foundation will present a workshop geared toward strengthening not-for-profit organizations, Nov. 9, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Piqua campus.

The “Right Technology Can Keep You Alive, the Wrong Technology Can Kill You” covers easy, low-cost ways to make computers work for organizations as they hire people, manage operations, simplify fundraising and generate more income. Some highlights will include computer security and ways to safeguard confidential information, passwords and data; how to use shared checklists and telephone, email and texting for effective communication; and evaluating the success of fundraisers.

Leading the session will be Leib Lurie, of Kids Read Now. The cost to participate is $15 per person and includes lunch. Registration is preferred by Nov. 4 to ensure a seat and may be completed online at www.edisonohio.edu/miniseries, by calling 937-778-7805 or emailing [email protected].
