ANNA — Fort Loramie scored in every inning but one in downing the Anna Lady Rockets in County softball play Monday night, 11-1.

The game was originally scheduled to be played at Fort Loramie, but was switched to Anna because of field conditions following the rain.

Loramie led 6-0 after four innings, then plated five in the sixth, and when Anna could answer with just one, the game ended on the 10-run rule.

Megan Koppin pitched the distance for Loramie and struck out seven.

She got plenty of offensive support, the Lady Redskins finishing with 11 hits. Megan Imwalle and Abby Holthaus both had three hits for Loramie. One of Imwalle’s was a home run, and she drove in two. Holthaus had two doubles and drove in three. Koppin also had a double, and Morgan Holscher drove in two runs.

For Anna, Tiffany Ferguson was 2-for-3.

“We were able to take advantage of some free bases in the first inning and then kept some momentum going,” said Loramie coach Brad Turner. “Megan pitched very well and was able to work out of a couple of jams. Twice Anna had runners on second and third with only one out, but we were able to get some big outs when we needed them. Abby Holthaus had a good day with a couple of doubles and Macy Imwalle squirted one past a hard-charging right fielder to give her an inside the park home run. We got contributions from a lot of kids tonight and that was great to see.”
