SIDNEY — The Sidney American Legion Auxiliary Unit 217 has announced its winners of $500 grants for the 2017-2018 school year.
In order to qualify, each applicant must have completed one year of college, have planned to continue his education the following year, and must have a father, mother, grandparent, stepparent or stepgrandparent who is a member of Post or Unit No. 217 or of the Sons of the Legion in Sidney.
Grant recipients are as follows: Aaron and Andrew Jensen, of Sidney, sons of Sherri and Ken Jensen; Katherine Nuss, of Sidney, daughter of Tracy Nuss and Mike Nuss; and Madison Nuss, of Sidney, daughter of Kara Wurstner and Aaron Nuss. Sherri Jensen is a member of the auxiliary. Katherine is a granddaughter of legion members Shelia and Bill Nuss. Madison is the granddaughter of legion members Linda and Fred Nuss.
