FINDLAY — Students at the University of Findlay recently participated in the annual Symposium for Scholarship and Creativity.

Undergraduate and graduate students were given the opportunity to share their research, creativity and professional learning experiences with the University and community.

Local students included Sara Bornhorst, of Fort Loramie, who was named as a Kappa Delta Pi new initiate; Jessica Dietz, of Botkins, who was named as an outstanding graduate in traditional occupational therapy program and presented “Collaboration Between Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Students”; Katherine Ellis, of Versailles, who received the Outstanding Physical Therapy Student award; Susanne Geise, of Jackson Center, who received the Doug Hesse Award for outstanding Master of Arts in rhetoric and writing student.

Also Megan Broerman, of New Bremen,who presented “Exploration of the Use of Emergency Services Instead of Primary Care Providers”; Cole Proffitt, of Sidney, who was named to the IMA Accounting Honor Society as a student member; Joshua Robinson, of Anna, who was named as a Choose Ohio First Scholar in computer science and presented “Computer Science Choose Ohio First-Virtual Reality”; Samantha Sayre, of Sidney, who received the Kappa Delta Pi graduating senior cord and medallion honor, presented “UF Partnering with UF” and performed in the jazz ensemble.

Also Rebecka Stricker, of Fort Loramie, who received the Founders’ Son and Daughter Award and Amanda Winner, of Yorkshire, who received the Mancuso Award.
