Crashes

David Andy Szeremi, 46, of Sidney, was cited with failure to control/weaving after a one-vehicle crash on Monday at 9:27 a.m.

Szeremi was traveling southbound on North Vandemark Road when he lost control and struck a utility pole. Szeremi’s vehicle was towed by Mantor’s Towing.

• Matthew Stephen Perry, 35, of Fort Wayne, Indiana, was cited with driving within lanes/continuous lines or traffic after a two-vehicle crash on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.

Perry and Andrew J. Ditmer, 28, of Sidney, were traveling eastbound on West Court Street. Perry began to change lanes into the path of Ditmer, causing Ditmer to strike Perry. Perry’s vehicle was towed by Elmer’s Towing, and Ditmer’s vehicle was towed by Mantor’s Towing.

• Abigail Whitney Nowlin, 19, of Anna, was cited with failure to control/weaving after a one-vehicle crash on Sunday at 12:35 p.m.

Nowlin was traveling southbound on St. Marys Avenue when she attempted to turn left onto Pike Street and slid on ice, causing the vehicle to hit the curb and a street sign.

• Chase Arthur Keith, 19, of Sidney, was cited with failure to control/weaving after a one-vehicle crash on Friday at 5:11 p.m.

Keith was traveling southbound on Folkerth Avenue when he lost control and struck a fire hydrant.

• Alexandria M. Bashore, 28, of Piqua, was cited with assured clear distance after a two-vehicle crash on Friday at 1:07 p.m.

Archie Scott Loop, 27, of Lima, was stopped at the red light at the intersection of West Michigan Street and North Stolle Avenue and Bashore was behind him. Bashore was unable to stop due to icy conditions and rear-ended Loop.

• Zachary M. Reed, 30, of Sidney, was cited with riding on sidewalks after a one-vehicle crash with a bicycle on Thursday at 2:11 p.m.

Reed was riding a bicycle traveling eastbound on West Court Street on the sidewalk. He had the right of way and began to cross at the crosswalk at North West Avenue. Tambra L. Brown, 54, of Sidney, attempted to make a right turn on red from North West Avenue to West Court Street at the same time, striking Reed. Reed was taken by Sidney EMS to Wilson Health with suspected minor injuries.

• Cherilyn Magoto, 72, of Versailles, was cited with operation at a stop sign after a two-vehicle crash on Thursday at 11:28 a.m.

Magoto was stopped at a stop sign at Hampton Court waiting to cross Fair Road and Lakhvir Singh, 26, of Sidney, was driving a semi-truck traveling westbound on Fair Road. Magoto pulled in front of Singh causing a collision. Magoto’s vehicle was towed by Wrecker’s Towing.
