SIDNEY — Tyler Ratcliffe, owner of Anytime Fitness Sidney, loves the unexpected wins. “Having someone come in for weight loss, but leaving with better health – better A1C, lower blood pressure, better self-esteem – that is the best part of my job.”

Ratcliffe recently hired Kaeden Riggs to help meet the needs of increasing clientele seeking personal training.

Riggs has been involved in bodybuilding for the last four years and participates in bodybuilding competitions. He expects to earn his ACE (American Council on Exercise) certification within the next 60 days. In addition to personal training, he will run their social media and help with the membership experience.

“I enjoy watching their excitement as my clients achieve things they didn’t realize they set out to achieve. Getting healthy is about so much more than just losing weight. Clothes fit better, doctor appointments go better, increased confidence – these are all things that come from regular exercise,” said Riggs.

Ratcliffe has known Riggs for years and felt his personable and caring demeanor would be a good fit for the culture at Anytime Fitness. Ratcliffe doesn’t think of Anytime Fitness as a gym, but as a coaching facility.

“We are a coaching-first facility, which means we focus on each individual member and their journey,” said Ratcliff. “We offer many different types and levels of coaching to make sure everyone achieves what they set out to achieve.”

He wants to promote a culture of being more than a gym. He cares about each individual who walks in the door, and wants to help them achieve their goals – all ages, all body types – all goals.

Ratcliffe took over Anytime Fitness in November 2020, after moving his family to Sidney.

“The opportunity was available and we felt God’s calling to come and be a part of this community,” he said.

Ratcliffe has a degree in Exercise Science from Greenville University in Illinois, and is ACE Certified. He has eight years of personal training experience and has participated in multiple bodybuilding competitions.

Ratcliffe describes his biggest strength as a personal trainer is working with aging clients and people who have existing injuries. “We offer top of the line personal training, more than just equipment and a place to work out. We have top of the line equipment and space, but also we provide a personal touch with personal training.”

To help foster a sense of community, Anytime Fitness Sidney is offering a free training session with one of their trainers during the month of February. Call 937-710-4326 to set up an appointment.

Anytime Fitness is located at 2016 W. Michigan St. in the Kroger shopping center, is open 24 hours, and is staffed Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
