Crashes

Aaron S. Haynes, 20, of Anna, was cited with operation without reasonable control after a two-vehicle crash on July 1 at 10:59 a.m.

Tyler J, Kempton, 28, of Perrysburg, was stopped in traffic on Michigan Street preparing to turn left onto Interstate 75 and Haynes was turning left from the Interstate 75 off-ramp onto Michigan Street. Haynes lost control due to wet conditions and struck Kempton.

• Gabrielle N. Vanhook, 28, of Sidney, was cited with right of way when turning left after a two-vehicle crash on June 30 at 4:48 p.m.

Vanhook was traveling southbound on Oak Avenue and Danielle L. Hilyard, 29, of Pemberton, was traveling northbound. Vanhook started to turn left onto Maple Street in front of Hilyard, causing Hilyard to turn right to avoid a collision. Hilyard then went off the roadway on the right and struck a street sign and a tree.

Hilyard and her passengers were taken by Sidney EMS to Wilson Health with suspected minor injuries.

• No one was cited after a two-vehicle crash on June 30 at 1:01 p.m.

Shawna Pellman, 40, of Sidney, was traveling westbound on Park Street and entered the intersection of Fourth Avenue. Patricia A. Etheridge, 68, of Sidney, was traveling southbound on Fourth Avenue and entered the intersection. Both drivers thought they had a green light and collided in the intersection.

• Eli C. Mariano, 86, of Sidney, was cited with right of way at a private driveway after a two-vehicle crash on June 30 at 12:28 p.m.

Nicholas A. McWilliams, 31, of Troy, was traveling westbound on Michigan Street when Mariano made a left turn from a private driveway and struck McWilliams.

• Tyler G. Emans, 21, of Troy, was cited with starting and backing vehicles after a two-vehicle crash on June 29 at 3:01 p.m.

Emans was attempting to exit the driveway of VP Racing on Michigan Street and Lawrence E. Kemp, 32, of Jackson Center, was behind him. Emans tried to pull out when traffic wasn’t clear, and to avoid a collision with another vehicle, Emans backed up into Kemp.
