-11:10 p.m.: crime in progress. Anthony Leshawn Petaway, 45, of Lima, was arrested for trespassing.

FRIDAY

-7:38 p.m.: crash. Police responded to a crash with injuries in the 500 block of Shie Avenue.

-6:52 p.m.: crash. Police responded to a hit-skip crash in the area of Michigan Street and North Vandemark Road.

-6:13 p.m.: crash. Police responded to a crash with injuries in the area of Fourth Avenue and Michigan Street.

-12:37 p.m.: intoxicated driver. Police responded to an intoxicated driver in the 100 block of East Court Street.

-9:15 a.m.: disorderly conduct. Police responded to disorderly conduct in the 2000 block of Howard Street.

-8:50 a.m.: warrant. Troy D. McRae Sr., 60, of Sidney, was arrested on a warrant.

-3:33 a.m.: breaking and entering. Police responded to past breaking and entering in the 800 block of East Court Street.

Crashes

No one was cited after a one-vehicle crash on Sept. 4 at 5:30 p.m.

Maya Godinz, 14, of Sidney, was traveling on the sidewalk of Franklin Avenue in a motorized go-cart when she lost control, crossing over West Water Street and striking a guardrail. Godinz was taken by Sidney EMS to Wilson Health with suspected minor injuries.

• Wilda E. Reddy, 71, of Sidney, was cited with operation without reasonable control after a one-vehicle crash on Sept. 3 at 2:22 p.m.

Reddy was traveling northbound on Fifth Avenue. When she approached the intersection of Grove Street, she accelerated rather than braking for the stop sign, causing her to travel off the roadway and strike a residence at 1340 Grove St. The vehicle was towed by Mantor’s Towing and Reddy was evaluated by Sidney EMS for possible injuries but was not taken to a medical facility. Sidney’s building inspector condemned the house due to damage from the crash.

• Valeria D. McLaughlin, 54, of Troy, was cited with driving within lanes/continuous lines of traffic after a two-vehicle crash on Sept. 2 at 12:56 p.m.

McLaughlin was traveling eastbound on state Route 47 when she got into the left turn lane at the intersection of Wilkinson Avenue. Nicholas P. Clesi, 69, of New Knoxville, was behind her and continued eastbound on state Route 47. McLaughlin veered out of the turn lane and struck Clesi.

• No one was cited after a one-vehicle crash on Sept. 1 at 7:38 p.m.

Brooke Hereford, 20, of Sidney, was traveling southbound on Shie Avenue when she traveled off the roadway to the right and struck a concrete wall. The vehicle was towed by Mantor’s Towing and Hereford was taken by Sidney EMS to Wilson Health with possible injuries.

• Jace Robert Conrad, 22, of Sidney, was cited with driving while under license suspension after a one-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian on Sept. 1 at 6:13 p.m.

Teresa M. Joyce, 61, of Sidney, was in a wheelchair attempting to cross the intersection of Michigan Street and Fourth Avenue diagonally. Conrad struck Joyce while turning left from Michigan Street onto Fourth Avenue. Joyce was taken by Sidney EMS to Wilson Health with possible injuries.

• Benita Renee Houck, 61, of Sidney, was cited with right of way when turning left after a two-vehicle crash on Aug. 30 at 7:01 a.m.

Houck was traveling northbound on the north/south alley of East Water Street. Justin Barrett Thompson, 41, of Sidney, was traveling eastbound on East Water Street. Houck attempted to turn left onto East Water Street in front of Thompson, causing a collision. Houck’s vehicle was towed by Elmer’s Towing.
