Grand Lake Health System welcomes Schwieterman

MARIA STEIN — Grand Lake Health System is pleased to announce its newest family practice physician, Dr. James Schwieterman. Rooted in 3 generations of family medicine in Maria Stein, Dr. Schwieterman received his bachelor’s from the University of Cincinnati and his MD from the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine, College of Medicine. He served his residency at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital Family Practice Center in Edgewood, Kentucky. He has participated in 6 medical mission trips to Belize and was Chief of Staff at Coldwater Community Hospital.

Dr. Schwieterman is an American Academy of Family Medicine member and will join Grand Lake Family Practice in Maria Stein. As a Family Practice physician, he works to establish a strong relationship with his patients and provide compassionate, personal care. He has expertise in Mental Health and is a Grief Share Moderator at Marion Cluster Parishes. His passion is companioning a patient through challenges – whether it is physical, emotional, or spiritual.

A long-time Maria Stein, Ohio resident, Dr. Schwieterman and his wife Theresa have a son, three daughters and four grandchildren.

Conveniently nestled in Mercer County, Maria Stein Family Practice is located on State Route 119 in Maria Stein.
