BOTKINS — May PT and Performance is ready for a new chapter in its business book.

The company has been offering their physical therapy and performance services in downtown Botkins since 2020. About a year after opening they started growing and thought that it would be great to have more space for our training and rehab.

As of January 2024, the company is finally be in their new location. The new building is 10,000 square feet, which includes 2,500 square feet of turf. It is located at 200 Commerce Drive in Botkins.

“We provide outpatient physical therapy services for patients after surgery, as well as non surgical patients who are trying to avoid surgery. Despite the athletic look of the facility, we see a significant number of post op cases such as knee replacements, hip replacements and rotator cuff repairs to name a few. We are In network with the majority of insurance companies and also offer private pay rates for individuals who choose not to use their insurance,” said owner Eric May.

At this time, they are also offering both adult and athlete training classes. Adult training classes are for individuals looking to get stronger, move better, and gain confidence when it comes to exercise and their body. The classes include a variety of weight lifting and cardio exercises and can be scaled to fit each individual in the class.

They have a “Fit over 50” class as well, which is similar to the adult training class, just typically performed at a slightly slower intensity. This class has been great for those who are wanting to improve strength, function, stay strong and be healthy to continue living an active lifestyle.

The athlete training generally has kids ranging from seventh grade through college age. These are meant to prepare athletes for their respective sport and improve speed, agility, jumping ability, strength and power and body awareness. These programs are written for each individual athlete and are specific to their needs and goals.

The new building will allow us more options for training both athletes and adults, as well as providing a better experience for our physical therapy patients.

An open house on Saturday, Jan. 20, from 3:30-7 p.m. and everyone is welcome. They are located in the industrial park in Botkins at 200 Commerce Drive, just off of County Road 25A.
