Crashes

No one was cited after a two-vehicle crash on Dec. 21 at 7:41 p.m.

Nathan A. Brewster, 18, of Troy, was traveling eastbound on Michigan Street when Brewster was struck by an unknown driver leaving the McDonald’s parking lot. The unknown driver, described as driving a red pickup truck with white stripes, then left the scene.

• Jordan Lee Thornburg, 29, of Sidney, was cited with right of way at a private driveway and operation of a motor vehicle while impaired after a two-vehicle crash on Dec. 20 at 11:36 p.m.

Thornburg was turning right from a private driveway and struck Justin Edward Wigginton, 36, of Sidney, who was traveling westbound on East Court Street on a bicycle. Wigginton was taken by Sidney EMS to Wilson Health with suspected minor injuries.

• Jaidon A. Hiestand, 19, of Sidney, was cited with assured clear distance after a two-vehicle crash on Dec. 20 at 3:08 p.m.

Hiestand was behind Margo Emily O’Leary, 44, of Troy, traveling northbound on Fourth Avenue when Hiestand rear-ended O’Leary.

• Jacquelin R. Kinnison, 72, of Sidney, was cited with failure to control/weaving after a two-vehicle crash on Dec. 19 at 4:12 p.m.

Kinnison was traveling eastbound on West Russell Road when the sun got in her eyes, causing her to travel out of her lane and strike Jessica R. Zekas, 46, of Sidney, who was also traveling eastbound. Kinnison’s vehicle was towed by Elmer’s Towing and Zekas’s vehicle was towed by Mantor’s Towing. Zekas was transported by Sidney EMS to Wilson Health with a neck injury.
