Celina Insurance Group employee earns designation

CELINA — Taylor Schmitz, an associate compliance analyst at Celina Insurance Group, recently earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation.

The CPCU designation is a widely respected and distinguished credential in risk management and insurance. The Institutes, an organization dedicated to providing accreditation and professional development opportunities in the insurance field, administers the required exams.

“This experience has broadened my knowledge of the insurance industry in a way that will help me monitor changing legislation and how it could affect the company,” Schmitz said.

A graduate of Bowling Green State University, Schmitz has been with Celina for four years. She also holds an Associate in Insurance (AINS) designation.

“Obtaining the CPCU designation requires hard work, dedication to professional development and a strong understanding of property and casualty insurance, and Taylor shows these traits in her day-to-day work,” Compliance Manager Caitlin Bair said. “It benefits her in her current role while also setting her up for future success, and I’m proud of her accomplishment.”
