PIQUA — Edison State Community College will host an open house on Monday, Feb. 19, in the Robinson Student Career Center at the Piqua Campus from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The event gives future students and their families a glimpse of what it’s like to be an Edison State student and the opportunities available to help them complete their educational goals.

BOTKINS — The Botkins Board of Education held its annual reorganizational meeting on Jan. 10.

ANNA — Anna Middle School has released its honor roll for the second nine weeks of the 2023-24 school year.

NEW BREMEN — The New Bremen School Board will be holding a special meeting on Thursday, Feb. 1 ,at 8 a.m. for the purpose of appointing a new board member. The meeting will be held in the District Office Conference Room.

PIQUA — Upper Valley Career Center announced the Shelby County students earning honors for the first semester of the 2023-24 school year.

LIMA — The University of Northwestern Ohio has announced it has been awarded a Mental Health Support Grant from the Ohio Department of Higher Education. The grant, totaling $168,551 over two fiscal years, is aimed at enhancing mental health support services for students on campus.

JACKSON CENTER — A freshman at Jackson Center High School will be able to grow his maple syrup business thanks to a grant from Bob Evans Restaurants.

LIMA — Students who want to be Buckeyes before they graduate from high school can join Ohio State Lima for an informational session covering the state of Ohio’s College Credit Plus Program from 1 to 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 4, at the G. Gilbert Cloyd Commons in the lower level of Galvin Hall.
