SIDNEY — Shelby County Memorial Post 4239 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) has recently donated more than $4,000 to local organizations in support of their activities that benefit children and families.

Community assessment survey underway

SIDNEY — Shelby County residents are urged to complete a 10-minute survey to gather input on local needs. The Community Needs Assessment is a free, voluntary survey for those high school age to senior citizens. Surveys are completely anonymous and responses are presented as a group.

Monopolize your reading at Shelby County Libraries

SIDNEY — Jan. 8 was the beginning of the winter reading challenge at Shelby County Libraries. The contest is open to anyone with a Shelby County Libraries card. It is divided into three groups; children, teen and adult. Each participant will receive a punch card at the time of signing up to count their progress.
