JACKSON CENTER — Members of the Jackson Center/UVCC FCCLA chapter have been collaborating with students, staff, FCS Classes, FCCLA members, The Fish Pond Food Pantry, Rustic Hope and the Shelby County Animal Shelter to carry out a service project called “Cups and Cuddles.” The project idea was born out of the latest craze over fancy drinkware, such as Stanley’s and Owala’s.

RUSSIA — Russia Local School kindergarten screening will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. Children are eligible to attend kindergarten in the fall of 2024 if they have reached the age of five before Aug. 1, 2024.

ANNA — On March 8, 9, and 10, the Anna High School Drama Club will present Anna’s 56th musical production, “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.”

PIQUA — Upper Valley Career Center continues to expand Career and Technical Education opportunities which encourage business partnerships, increase enrollment and positively impact high school and adult students.

RUSSIA — The Russia Board of Education set the date for a public hearing to discuss the use of federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) funds at a meeting on Feb. 21.

SIDNEY — Lehman Catholic High School is the only state-chartered, Roman-Catholic comprehensive institution providing secondary education for the students of Auglaize, Darke, Logan, Mercer, Miami, and Shelby counties in West Central Ohio. Accredited by the Ohio Catholic School Accrediting Association, Lehman is a ministry of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and the northernmost high school in the Archdiocese.

SIDNEY — Holy Angels Catholic School continues to grow in faith, academics, and service.

RUSSIA — “It’s hard to believe that the first semester is over, and we are already a month into the second semester. So far, it has been an exceptional school year. We’re particularly excited about the ongoing construction of the new addition, which is generating a palpable sense of enthusiasm in the building,” said Russia Local School Superintendent Steve Rose.
